Paul Hooper, who started doing stand-up comedy here in the Q.C. in 1998, keeps his act eccentric. He playfully picks and angrily gripes about whatever he feels like, taking full advantage of the mayhem that his OCD tendencies ignite. Tues., July 17, 7 p.m. $10. Georgia-born comedian James Gregory doesn’t sugar-coat (except maybe the food he eats) anything. He’s fond of deep-fried Southern cuisine and confused about vegetarians and the latest rage in buying organic. But health-nuts need not worry, as his backwoods attitude only adds to the hilarity. Gregory also gives impressions of his family and their noisy digestive tracts, often heard at holiday gatherings.
