Check out these low and/or no cost events happening in the Q.C. this weekend.

Question Bridge Blueprint Roundtable Question Bridge artist Bayeté Ross Smith will introduce this powerful conversation that seeks to build bridges and dismantle communication boundaries between generations of African-Americans regarding education, work, family and community. The Question Bridge: Black Males film, which inspired the roundtable, is on view at the Gantt Center through June 1, 2014. Free admission to the roundtable event (must reserve a ticket at www.ganttcenter.org). Jan. 17, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Knight Theater, 430 S. Tryon St.

Robot Johnson The Charlotte sketch comedy troupe presents this "Best of Show" performance. Be prepared to laugh. These guys are funny and original, too. $7. Jan. 17-18. 8th Annual Health and Wellness Fair The event will feature free samples, tastings and informative demos on vitamins, food, herbs, supplements, health/beauty items, beer and wine. There will also be gift basket raffles, spinal screenings, health consultants and more. Free admission. New Public Art Ribbon Cutting More public art for Charlotte? We'll take it! "Unfurled," a collaborative glass mosaic created by more than fifty professional mosaic artists, has been installed in the heart of South End. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication will be held on Saturday and there will be an interactive art scavenger hunt. Some artists who created the work will be attending. Come support! Free. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Events Folks wanting to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. can head to the Charlotte Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration & Parade held Uptown on Jan. 18 or to Levine Museum of the New South's two-day event in honor of King. It kicks off on Jan. 19 and continues through Jan. 20. Check out our list for more information on these and other King related events.
