Hard News Some things can only happen in South Carolina

As I read the State newspaper's web site today, I found a story that made me shiver with disgust and embarrassment.
Disgust because:
Officers responded to two unrelated fights at Broadway at the Beach on Saturday night, including one in which a man tried to cut off another man's testicles with a metal pocket knife.
Really? Who does that? Why would one man want to touch another man's testicles unless he was stroking them lovingly?
According to Myrtle Beach police reports, officers arrested Christopher Stillman, 26, of Lumberton, N.C., at about 1 a.m. They also arrested Samantha Michelle Hoback, 33, of Myrtle Beach during a different fight at about 12:45 a.m. Both were charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.According to the first report, Stillman assaulted another man by holding a pocket knife to his testicles and threatening to cut them off and then kill him.

The man suffered a small knife wound on his left leg under his crotch. Police later recovered a small metal pocket knife.
Of all the ways to kill a man and at least get away from the police, this is not it. I wonder if Stillman was upset because the man wouldn't allow him to do something else to his testicles. And why isn't Stillman charged with a sex crime?
The law doesn't not treat men the same in issues like this. Had Stillman tried to cut a woman's nipples off, he'd be facing sexual battery charges. I'm willing to bet the victim in this case wouldn't mind seeing this man face more charges and I'm sure he feels violated.
Embarrassed about this story because the suspect is from North Carolina. We're supposed to be better than this.

I'm down for a good sex story anytime, but with all of the eyes reading Facebook and other social networking sites, is it smart to post about your one-night stand?
Unless you're a sex worker, I'm willing to bet no.
Sure your love may have put it on you in ways that made you scream in 10 different languages, but all of your friends on Facebook, including your boss, coworker [who may or may not be getting any] need to know this. Especially if you work for the government. That's why you should pretend you're writing a book and the story you told on Facebook was just fiction.
Or if you're trying to live a Sex and The City fantasy, start a blog under a pen name. This could actually turn into something that you can make money from. It worked for a former London call girl who goes by the name of Belle de Jour.
If you're just writing for yourself and your lover, there is no need to put it online. Take it back to the old school and write about your sexual exploits in a composition book and when he can't get it up or she has a headache, pull that notebook out and start reading -- either to yourself or out loud -- to get some satisfaction.
But please, leave it off Facebook, unless you want everyone to know.

If you've been with your partner for a while, you've done it all and seen enough. But you still have to have do the date night thing. Otherwise you might not get that other thing you want.
So, what can you do that shows thought, creativity and romance -- without having to shell out tons of cash?
Log on to this website first. 4yourdate.com has pretty good ideas about out of the ordinary dates for you and your mate.
My favorite has to be the starry night date.
On a cool evening, take your love outside and spread a blanket out on the ground where you can see the stars. Lay in each other’s arms and have a very romantic and cheap creative date idea.
Just imagine what you can talk about while looking up at the stars, maybe sipping on some wine or whatever your favorite drink is. If you decide to have this date in your yard and you have a privacy fence, just think how much fun it will be to make love underneath the stars.
