This summer, Ballantyne Resort is putting a new spin on the after work party literally as theyre having DJ Lotta Noize from Greensboro spin at their weekly pool parties.
The Ballantyne Resort recently opened its new outdoor pool which hosts weekly pool parties every Thursday. It's kinda like an Alive after Five just with an added feature... a big-ass pool equipped with two bars and a pool menu. The weekly swim soiree runs (or should I say swims) thru Sept. 3 from 7 11 p.m.
But Ballantyne Resort will be fitting into something else tonight a swimsuit fashion show. Charlotte Style magazine will be hosting its Summer Soiree from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. And with the pool party, its just another way Ballantyne wears its new party look well. Tickets are $25 and $20 for guests with a "Style card." And while youre feeling good in the sun, you can feel good on the inside too, because Styles Summer Soiree benefits Dress for Success Charlotte.
While pool parties are usually just for socializing, Mother Nature seems to think its for getting wet. At least, thats what Im thinking since the last two Thursdays the swimming soirees have been rained out. But its not going to rain on the party parade tonight!
And if you swim upstream to University youll find the 2009 Endless Summer Pool Party Tour or 'The Cure for the Common Summer' this Friday at University Club... and if you miss it this weekend dont worry, because there are plenty of opportunities to jump on the pool party bus:
Friday, July 10: University Village
Friday, July 24: University Club
Thursday, July 30: 901 Place
Friday, August 7: University Club
Sunday, August 16: 901 Place
Friday, August 21: University Village
So, while some say a fish out of water is a bad thing, I disagree. Testing the uncharted waters is a good thing after all it is how we found America! Now, while I cant guarantee that youll discover another country, you will definitely find some fun.
