New to Uptown — Luna Lounge

Posted By on Mon, Aug 31, 2009 at 1:20 PM

If you walk down College Street past the Epicentre … past Cosmos … past AlleyCat … keep going … keep going … you have arrived at your destination: Luna Lounge, Uptown’s newest nightlife lounge.

The space is unrecognizable from when ugly coyotes were dancing on the bar. For starters the place is clean now. And it now has VIP couches lining the dance floor and a solarium, glassed-in patio. The ambiance has been completely renovated to a more elegant caliber. I can’t speak for the caliber of the men, however. Thursday: ROCK * IT night presented by Sleeping Giant

Friday: TEC HOUSE with DJ's Nick Spain, Steven K. , Rob Reeves & Kaotika

Saturday: Loca Luna International night … because Saturdays are for just getting crazy.

The guys of Sunset Club, KISS Lounge, and now LUNA have the lounge thing down pat … and they have been successful in putting party palaces off the beaten path.

Luna Lounge, located on College Street between 8th & 9th, is a little bit off the beaten path — well, if you’re wearing heels it is. But the best part about being off the beaten path is the free parking. But the bad thing is the fact there’s an apartment building right next door so the noise coming from the patio might be an issue. In fact, the DJ has already been shushed …
