Magdalena was definitely played in Charlotte... I sang along to every word. ;)
Just my opinion. The Drums was one of the worst bands I've seen in five years at Bonnaroo. Weak lyrics, poor musicianship, lack of stage presence I wasn't impressed in any way. For me, it was awful. I saw 62 bands over the weekend and they were at the bottom of the pile.
That's the most glowing advertisement for your band that I've ever read. Quite the vocabulary and grammar you have, too. Thanks for reading.
Like I said in the review - they held photographers out from the first two bands... not sure why.
Hey all - thanks for entering your great ideas. I narrowed the best ones down to 15 entries from the total of more than 30 received. I assigned each one a number and then went to "Random.org" to have them randomly pick a number between 1 and 15. The winner was "Jeff" above. And no, that's not me. Jeff came to pick up his tickets wearing a Jimmy Buffett shirt and telling me about the first time he saw Buffett perform, on a bill with the Eagles, decades ago for a very low price.... my how the times have changed. Hope everyone who gets out there enjoys the show!
Like I said - some people liked Dirty Beaches. I and some other people I talked to thought he was awful. There's a difference between minimalism and not having the ability to sing or play guitar. I've heard more talent from my four-year-old nephew.
I could write a post that simply said, "Adam Lambert is a singer" and people would still complain and tell me "no he's not, he's a performer," or "he's an artist," etc. His fans refuse to believe there is anything wrong with him - that's why they are fans.
