Before Twenty-Two, there was a mostly untapped resource of creatives in Charlotte: those who fell between museum-worthy and commercial on the art spectrum. Owner Rodney Raines and curator Nick Bloomberg have found all (or most) of them, showing their work in month-long exhibitions that never fail to deliver. This year, we were graced with the artistic likes of Nathaniel Lancaster, Isaac Payne and Osiris Rain, among others.
