THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO NOURISHING THE NEXT GENERATION

Instead of food, we're consuming "edible foodlike substances" — no longer the products of nature but of food science. - Michael Pollan, In Defense of Food

Nicole Magryta, MBA, RDN, is a nutrition consultant, educator, and certified integrative health coach, specializing in integrative and functional medicine therapies for adults and children. She is the bestselling author of Nourish Your Tribe: Empowering Parents to Grow Strong, Smart, Successful Kids. In her private practice today, Nicole changes lives by tackling chronic disease from the root and not the leaves. She can be found throughout her community transforming school wellness programs, guiding large corporate wellness plans, as well as sitting on the board of directors of Live Healthy Carolinas. Nicole lectures nationally to academic, business, and community audiences on integrative nutrition, family and children’s health, disease prevention, and healthy cooking techniques. She lives in Davidson, NC, with her husband and two children.

The Center for Disease Control reports that between 1980 and 2010, the percentage of people living with obesity in the US doubled among adults and tripled among children. Unfortunately, obesity is one of the many chronic conditions on the rise in our country. Nearly one in two adults in the US live with at least one chronic condition. Even more alarming are the rising rates in chronic conditions among children.

"The numbers are indeed grim, but there is good news: the increase in chronic diseases is because of a lifestyle choice and the changing environment," says Nicole Magrta.

We address chronic disease through lifestyle and diet. Beyond food selection, Americans need to understand how food is handled and produced. To do this, we must educate ourselves about the ever-changing landscape of the agricultural and food industry in America. Nicole's book does that, and so much more. From taking a look at the diet-disease connection and ancient answers to modern problems to providing plentiful recipes, Nourish Your Tribe, is an essential tool that all American's should take advantage of.

"Teaching children good nutrition empowers them to respect their most precious gifts: their minds and their bodies. I want to empower my children with the wisdom to nourish themselves with healing foods and to be aware of their body's voice. Don't you? What a gift this would be to our next generation of children," says Nicole.

Nicole's best-selling book takes a dive into many interesting topics, among those are:

- Science-based nutrition recommendations proven to strengthen your child’s immune system and improve brain function, sleep, mood and concentration this school year

- Explanation for how food and nourishment are linked to common childhood conditions like ADHD, anxiety, headaches, IBS, eczema, and mood and behavioral issues and how to combat them

- Guidelines to wisely navigate today’s complex food culture

- Proven strategies for picky eaters and behavioral tips to encourage healthy eating

- Quick and healthy meals to make for kids lunches and after-school snacks for optimal brain function

"I wrote this book for every parent in America. To equip them with the fundamental knowledge to raise healthy children."

Nourish Your Tribe has received overwhelmingly positive feedback and is highly recommended with a five-star Amazon rating.
