Taste the Homebrew
Newsflash: Creative Loafing is set to release its second CD of local music on Sept. 4. This one -- titled Jeff Hahne's Homebrew: Summer Stash -- was again executive produced by CL music editor Jeff Hahne and mastered by Rob Tavaglione of Catalyst Recording. The 12-track compilation features a variety of music from the Charlotte area.
To celebrate the CD's release, we're hosting a big party on Sept. 4, 7 p.m. at the Double Door At Lake Norman (19501 W. Catawba Ave., Cornelius), which is also the sponsor behind the new album. While details are still being ironed out, the current plan is to have at least six of the CD's featured bands performing live at the venue. Plus: Need something else cool to do? Well, come Play at HOM on Sunday, Aug. 31. The Sol Kitchen presents "The End of Summer" party with DJ DR. (So you know the music is gonna be good).
