Soon you'll be able to get your Terrace Cafe red velvet waffles in Ballantyne. According to the ad that is running on page 31 of this week's Creative Loafing issue, the restaurant is opening its second location in Ballantyne Village this summer.

Food News Guy Fieri not coming to Charlotte after all

The canceled show is a big disappointment as I know many of you had wanted to go and registered to win the pair of tickets I was giving away on the blog.
I know you are all bummed. But, I have good news! In lieu of the Guy Fieri show tickets, I will be giving away one pair of tickets to Steve Martin AND one pair of tickets to the Mother Earth Brewing Beer and Food Pairing Dinner at Blue restaurant, presented by Charlotte Good Eats and Meets!

If the beer and festivities at the Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival happening this Saturday in SouthPark aren't enough for you this month, enjoy more local craft brews and live music at the North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival next Saturday, May 14.
The festival, presented by Rural Hill, will be held in Huntersville and will run from 10:30 am to 8 pm. All proceeds from NCBMF will go towards the preservation and advancement of Rural Hill and its mission.
The $45 tickets include over three hours of free tasting, a day packed full of great music, beer education, and a chance to learn about and interact with area non-profits.

Food News / Events Bluprint opens tomorrow

Bluprint restaurant will be holding their grand opening tomorrow, Friday, April 1.
Located in the same building at Morton's in Uptown (the Carillon building), the restaurant offers a full-service sit down breakfast throughout the day. Doors will be open at 7 am tomorrow if you want to be the first to check them out.
On Saturday, April 2, they will be hosting their first "Bluday," which will be full of giveaways. (This monthly event will occur on special days that will only be announced via Bluprint's social media accounts.) The giveaway for this first Bluday is a free stack of their signature Red Velvet pancakes with the purchase of a breakfast meat for the first 25 guests.
