Fashion for your Soul in South End

Posted By on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 10:20 AM

As one local clothing designer recently told me, the clothes you wear make a statement about your personality. And Fashion Soul, presented by South End Soul this Saturday (a community celebration of art and design), promises to make you rethink what you're wearing. With three unique Charlotte fashion designers like Cigi Guzman (check out some pieces of her collection John T. Fellow, sponsored by Value Village), Luis Machicao (see an interview in our Nightlife section) and Joey Hewell, two locally owned boutiques like The Frock Shop and Niche, and an array of South End salons doing the styling, this event will showcase the diverse local talent we have here in the Queen City. No cover. Pre-party starts at 8;30 p.m., fashion show at 10 p.m. Parking lot between Dharma Lounge and Marigny, 1440 S. Tryon St. For more information, visit
