With all of the many fashionable events taking place this week, I've been double- and triple-booked almost every day. Whew ... who knew? Well, the fun doesn't stop yet. Tomorrow, Elevate Magazine will be hosting its Lifestyle awards, and I for one am quite anxious to see who they've dubbed the best in the Q.C. With categories ranging from my favorites — Fashion and Entertainment to Dining and Nightlife — this should be a very exciting evening. (Rumor has it that shops like Fresh and Lotus will be honored.)

I love any opportunity to rally around and recognize the people who are dedicated to being a trailblazer in Charlotte and this will be a fun event with lots of giveaways. With so many talented people living here in Charlotte, it is sometimes quite difficult to stay in the know on all of them.  A new event series entitled "Debut" launches tomorrow night showcasing its first two Q.C. Gems.  This is the perfect opportunity to come out and see designs for the mom-to-be and sparkling baubles for any occasion.

"As We Grow" by 5 Minutes Apart is a maternity collection featuring designs that allow you to mix and match the pieces to create a style collaboration.  The interchangeable shirt is designed so that the pieces can detach and be restyled to a tunic, romper or maxi dress.  I've seen the design and I have to say it is the perfect staple for any expectant mom.

Bella Originals, created by Elizabeth Cannon, crafts some of the most jaw-dropping jewelry I've ever seen.  She personally makes blown glass pieces in beautiful colors to create necklaces and uses vintage Swarovski crystals (gasp!) in brass settings for a one of a kind bracelet and more.

Today is such an exciting day for Charlotte's fashion community because it marks the kick-off of Charlotte Style Week. In a matter of hours, I will be attending the first event of this fashionable week of celebration at Bluprint Restaurant. Oh and did I mention I'm also hosting it? Tonight's event, "Cocktails and Conversations," produced by the Red Pump Project of Charlotte and JSW Media, will give attendees the opportunity to step out in style. Ladies, grab your red stilettos and gents, bring out your red ties and come and enjoy the drink specials, appetizers and lots of giveaways tonight at 7 p.m. Bluprint Restaurant is located at 227 W.
