Junk In The Trunk sale

Posted By on Thu, Aug 11, 2011 at 12:35 PM

Beadlush is a great place to go if you’re looking for vintage pieces to create a sparkly accessory of your own. Nothing is more chic than a piece of handmade hardware to accent your ensemble. And even if you’ve never crafted a piece of jewelry before in your life, this full-service bead shop can get you started on the right path with classes, advice and just simple encouragement.

On Aug. 11 through Aug. 13, the eclectic selection of pickings for those who fancy themselves artisans will be robust during the Junk in the Trunk Sale at Beadlush. Southern Comforts and Friends, a local collective of junkers and antiquers, will be in the house, showcasing their findings, and who knows, maybe they have the perfect piece to finish off a bracelet you’ve been working on. The “junk” available includes buttons, broaches, lace, silverware, chandelier crystals, doillies and more. On Saturday, Aug. 13, a tent will be set up outside the Plaza Midwood shop, with display pieces, wooden crates and boxes and more items to use to show off your work. Aug. 11-12, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Aug. 13, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Beadlush, 1217 The Plaza. 704-376-3331.
