Events Fashion gets a little hairy at SouthPark Mall’s Trends & Friends Night

Fashion these days has literally gone to the dogs … and it couldn’t be a more wonderful thing! On Oct. 21, SouthPark Mall will kick off its Simon Fashion Now during Trends & Friends Night, where designers, models and everyone’s favorite four-legged friends will strut their stuff on the catwalk.
Four fashion designers will compete with their celebrity models and pretty pooches, during the Simon Fashion Now Design Wars segment, and those in the audience can decide which piece they’ll bid on in the silent auction to benefit the Humane Society of Charlotte, “a community resource committed to improving the lives of companion animals.”

MODEL T. Strong, The Style Mayvin with DESIGNER Amanda Wagner, Amanda Wagner Designs
MODEL Dayvee Sutton, NewsChannel 36 with DESIGNER Tara Davis, Flow by Tara Davis
MODEL Heather Waliga, News 14 with DESIGNER Emily Kramer and Amanda Gaskins, Anno Domini Designs
MODEL Tenikka Smith, WSOC with DESIGNER Miikelle Fowler, MiikelleDeFo
Well-known fashion judges such as Amy Wiegand of Carolina Bride and Joey Hewell of Fox News Rising will help put the competition to rest by critiquing the designs.
In addition to the entertainment excitement, there will also be cocktails, so come thirsty! Festivities will commence at 6:30 p.m. All of the pooches will be adoptable and ready for a loving home so come with a big heart, as well. This event is free and open to the public and will take place in the Center Court of SouthPark Mall located at 4400 Sharon Road.
