The most-watched woman in America in regard to fashion seems to be First Lady Michelle Obama.
This month, she graces the cover of Vogue. Sleeveless, of course. (You've no doubt heard all the hubbub about this, right? The next issue of People hitting stands on Friday will include a feature on several pieces of Michelle Obama's wardrobe that show off her toned arms.)
She's trendy and her wardrobe choices are often smart and stylish, so much that even the Huffington Post has a whole page of aggregated content dedicated just to her style. Everything that has been scrutinized about her can be found here: her choice of dress designer, her choice to go sleeveless in the middle of winter, her wearing a pants suit, the way she styles her hair, her flats, her makeup ... it's madness.
In a recent Reuters article, designer Jason Wu said that she is a "stimulus package for the fashion industry."
Well, I'm sure. But I wonder if she's tired of everyone looking at her yet.

Back in January, we posted that the Home Depot Design Center in Midtown was closing.
Well, after a little more than a month, the store is looking pretty bare. Signs plastered on the windows let us know all merchandise is marked 30 to 60 percent off.

Received this press release from the good folks at Goodwill. The Out With The Old, Save With The New event goes from March 2 through March 8.
LOFT, a division of Ann Taylor Stores Corporation, and Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont are giving customers a chance to clean out their closets to make room for new spring styles with the Out with the Old, Save on the New event.
Customers who donate their gently-worn pants at any LOFT store will receive $15 off each full price pant purchase from Monday, March 2 to Sunday, March 8. All donated pants from the partnership will be sold in Goodwill retail stores and the revenues will help fund Goodwills job training and employment programs.
LOFT is a feminine, casual lifestyle brand that provides high quality and on-trend fashions at a surprising value. LOFT is known for universally flattering pants, and the Out with the Old, Save on the New event will feature fit experts to help clients discover their perfect pant personality. LOFT offers three feminine and fashionable pant fits to suit virtually any body type: Ann, a classic fit; Marissa, a modern fit; and Julie, a curvy fit.
This event offers our clients a wonderful opportunity to give back within their own local communities, while receiving personalized style advice from our in-store experts and a great discount on our new spring pant styles, said Gary Muto, President of LOFT. We are delighted to be partnering with Goodwill to help make a difference for families in need, and we believe that our clients will share this excitement and join us in this very relevant event.
Through the companys ANN Cares program, LOFT has partnered with Goodwill Industries -- North Americas leading non-profit provider of employment training, job placement services and other critical community programs for people who have a disability, lack education or job experience, and other job seekers. In 2008, more than 13,000 people benefited from Goodwills programs in the Southern Piedmont region of North and South Carolina.
By participating in the LOFT partnership with Goodwill, people are making an investment in their communities, said Bo Hussey, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont. Each pant donation at LOFT stores nationwide will support vital employment services in local communities to help people find and keep jobs.
The Out with the Old, Save on the New event begins on Monday, March 2 and ends on Sunday, March 8 and is only valid at LOFT stores. Please visit www.AnnTaylorLOFT.com for a store location near you.
LOFT store locations in the Charlotte area include Birkdale Village, Concord Mills, Northlake Mall, Promenade at Providence and SouthPark Mall.
