Dead day in the CIAA

Posted By on Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 4:55 PM

It’s dead inside the Charlotte Bobcats Arena. It’s almost like being at a Charlotte Bobcats’ game. But it’s the Women’s portion of the CIAA tournament and ain’t nobody watching. Is it because no one cares about the women?

Possibly.

But these girls play hard. Even if Fayetteville State and St. Augustine’s had 84 turnovers in their game, they tried.

I never understood why people bought ticket books and didn’t go to all of the games. But that’s just me, I’m cheap as hell and I want to get my money’s worth. For the 3 p.m. women’s contest (Bowie State vs. Virginia Union), there had to be about 1,000 people inside the arena.

Not a good look party people. There is one thing I’ve noticed though, the people in the arena right now aren’t worried about what they’re wearing or how they look. I guess you don’t have to be when there’s no one around to see you. Sort of like that tree falling in the forest and no one being around.
