I love art. And a lot of my buddies are artists. One dude I'm cool with goes by the name of Dubelyoo (pronounced "W") and he happens to be from North Carolina.
Dub's art style mixes the best elements of traditional illustration with cartoons and graffiti. You can see his work in galleries all over the country, on CD covers and in advertisements for companies like Sprite and Mark Ecko.
Keep a lookout for Dub; he plans to make a visit to Charlotte in April with a great exhibition called "Art, Beats and Lyrics." In the meantime, check out this video showing Dub at work:
