Keywords in the DNC speeches

Posted By on Thu, Aug 28, 2008 at 10:53 AM

Al Tompkins, who is a regular columnist for Poynter.org, compiled some key words that speakers used when addressing the Democratic National Convention.

This week, Sen. Hillary Clinton leaned most heavily on "America," "American," "children" and "Obama".

Michelle Obama used the words "Barack," "families," "people," "dream," "hope," "jobs," "work" and "world" multiple times.

To find out how he came up with this info, or to see what key words he finds in the speeches from President Bill Clinton and Sens. Joe Biden and Barack Obama, visit his page here.
