Meaty martinis

Posted By on Thu, Sep 11, 2008 at 4:05 PM

A guy named Josh Karpf decided to concoct himself some pork martinis, all made with 100-proof Absolut vodka and some type of pork. Take your pick: sweet dried pork, pan-sautéed ground pork, boiled sweet Italian dinner sausage, or sautéed Spam.

"The sausage retained its cooked gray color but its surface appeared muddied, somehow softened. The sausage's fat chunks remained distinctly white. This vodka was tinged yellow. The bouquet smelled clearly of sausage, though it was less overpowering than that of the ground pork vodka. "

Which of the four tastes the best? Check out the full experiment and results here: http://www.echonyc.com/~jkarpf/home/martini.html. Can we say, gross?!
