The granddaddy of all BBQs

Posted By on Fri, Oct 24, 2008 at 10:13 AM

It was good old-fashioned politicking yesterday at the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church Barbeque. As soon as I walked into the crowd, John Totten, who is running for District Judge, handed me a flyer and shook my hand.

But the cars that backed up Mallard Creek Road were not filled with people trying to meet politicians. Nope, they came to get the barbeque. 15,400 pounds of that meaty goodness was prepared, along with about 2,500 gallons of South Carolina-styled Brunswick stew.

Check out the photos below, and if you're interested to find out more about Carolina BBQ, check out this story.
