The Fourth Annual Charlotte Film Festival isn't until Sept. 21-27, but folks interested in submitting their works need to act now -- that is to say, by Feb. 15 to get the early bird rate.
As per the press release submitted by the group a couple of days ago:
"The Charlotte Film Festival will be handing out 14 awards in five categories when it returns September 21-27 with its 4th annual event.
The early bird entry deadline to submit a film is February 15. During this time, filmmakers will get the lowest entry fees before the call for submissions closes on June 15.
This year, we are looking for films in five categories: Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, and Student Films.
Jury awards will be presented as follows: Best Narrative Feature Film; Best Feature-Length Documentary; Best Short Film; Best Student Film.
Audience Choice awards will be presented as follows: Best Narrative Feature Film; Best Feature-Length Documentary; Best Short Film; Best Student Film; Best Cinematography in a Narrative Film; Best Cinematography in a Documentary; Best Music in a Narrative Film; Best Music in a Documentary; Best Actor; Best Screenplay.
