Praise the Lord

Who's in the market for a little trip down Jesus-wants-us-to-live-large-on-your-dime lane?

Fans of the old "The PTL Club" shows may soon have a reason to praise the Lord. An Atlanta investment banker plans to auction off more than 15,000 hours of videotapes of the Christian talk shows in March.

Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker hosted the show from 1974 to 1987. Most aired from their empire that included a hotel, campground and theme park in Fort Mill, S.C., just south of Charlotte. The shows became iconic, with Jim Bakker offering upbeat sermons from a couch and Tammy Faye, wearing her trademark heavy mascara, singing about Jesus.
