Gorman, you twit

You're right. What the children of Charlotte need are fewer teachers, with a starting pay just over $33.000, and 80 percent more administrators, like you, who make more than $100,000 annually. And, don't you bother taking a pay-cut, either. The rank and file realize how difficult it must be to live on a quarter million dollars per year. Thanks for thinking of our collective future, sir!

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent Peter Gorman says teachers calling for administrative layoffs have their facts wrong.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Association of Educators yesterday organized a protest of teacher layoffs and called for "pruning the top" instead. Gorman proposes eliminating 456 teachers and 83 assistant principals.
