MAY 16-17 — “Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to work we go.” Ahh, if only mornings were that easy. North Carolina Dance Theatre will blend humor into this theatrical adaption by Mark Diamond of the beloved fairy tale Snow White — which has been retold and tweaked in countries across the world (and can sometimes be a little scary). I guess an apple a day doesn’t always keep the doctor away, but one thing’s for sure: You’ll most likely leave the performance with that work-enthused tune stuck in your head. Show is appropriate for all ages. $25-$59. 2 p.m. Belk Theater, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
