Last night the Charlotte Symphony held another one of its special Summer Pops concerts at Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall. The event was dubbed Thats Amore! and featured a variety of mostly Italian-themed selections. Highlights included "Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh," and "The Pink Panther Theme."
If you're in town this week, be sure to pack a picnic, blankets and chairs and head to the Charlotte Symphony's final 2009 Summer Pops, titled "Celebrate America," at Symphony Park on July 3. Read a description of the event from Charlotte Symphony's Website below.
The summer season ends with a bang on July 3 at the Symphonys most popular concert of the year, the annual Celebrate America. Albert-George Schram leads the orchestra in patriotic favorites, including America the Beautiful, Armed Forces Salute, Tchaikovskys 1812 Overture, and Sousas Liberty Bell March. The concert culminates in an impressive array of fireworks. Sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.
