The Southeastern Film Critics Association (SEFCA) yesterday named The Social Network the Best Picture of 2010 in its 19th annual voting. The absorbing look at controversial Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg earned a total of four awards, with its other victories coming in the categories of Best Director (David Fincher), Best Adapted Screenplay (Aaron Sorkin, adapting Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires), and the new category of Best Ensemble. The King's Speech, which was first runner-up in the Best Picture race, and True Grit were the only other films to win more than one award. The King's Speech won three prizes, for Best Actor (Colin Firth), Best Supporting Actor (Geoffrey Rush) and Best Original Screenplay (David Seidler), while True Grit nabbed two, for Best Supporting Actress (Hailee Steinfeld) and the year's other new category, Best Cinematography.

In the final acting category, Natalie Portman took Best Actress for her performance as a tortured ballerina in Black Swan. The group's other picks were Toy Story 3 for Best Animated Film, Inside Job for Best Documentary and South Korea's Mother for Best Foreign-Language Film.

In its sixth year, the Wyatt Award went to writer-director Debra Granik’s Winter's Bone, a searing drama set in the Ozarks. Named after the late SEFCA member Gene Wyatt, the prize seeks to honor one film each year that best embodies the essence of the South.

In addition to naming its Best Picture, SEFCA also releases its Top 10 for the year. The complete list follows.
