CAST reconstructs

Last year was a good year for Carolina Actors Studio Theatre. The local theater org moved from its former home, a grungy warehouse in Plaza Midwood, to a newer space in a NoDa (which happens to be in the same strip as Amelie’s Bakery — can we say ‘sweet’?!) .

Since the big move, CAST has been fine-tuning its quarters between shows and is currently revamping its lobby. That’s where you come in. The Save Me A Seat Campaign is accepting donations to help with construction and upcoming 2012 season costs. An official ribbon cutting is scheduled for Jan. 12, followed by the unveiling of a donor plaque on Feb. 23.

To get involved, click here. Deadline is Jan. 25 (though moola and other contributions are gladly accepted year-round). Also, be sure to keep these upcoming performances by CAST on your radar:

Jack Goes Boating, Jan. 12-Feb. 11
Race, Feb. 23-March 24
Floyd Collins, April 12-May 12
The Edge of Our Bodies, May 24-June 23
