Showing My Joy some love

In honor of the Ulysses Charlotte Spring Arts Festival, co-titled “The Majesty of Russia and the Music of Tchaikovsky,” The Light Factory continues its From Russia With Love film series which spotlights on Slavic films that have shaped the history of cinema.

Today’s screening at UNC Charlotte Center City building is Sergei Loznitsa's 2010 film, My Joy. It’s described as an ultra-nihilistic parable of post-Communist Russia. Watch the trailer below.
