Did you hear that? That's the sound of womens' reproductive organs breathing a collective sigh of relief.
Under the Affordable Care Act, insurance plans must now cover preventive services - including annual gynecologist exams, FDA-approved birth control, breast-feeding counseling and STD and HIV screenings - at no out-of-pocket cost.
The Department of Health estimates 47 million women will be affected, according to PBS. And the best news? Experts anticipate the new rules will encourage more women to get tested and visit their doctors.
