A doable three-hour shuffle from Charlotte to Raleigh thrusts you straight into a sinister “Time Warp” over at Raleigh Little Theatre. In The Rocky Horror Show, the seductive Transylvanian transvestite known as Frank-N-Furter tantalizes others (the clueless — and soon-to-be corrupted — goody two-shoes couple, Brad and Janet) who’ve strayed off their normal path and are stripping down to their undies for a spontaneous bout of pleasure in the kooky castle.
Richard O’Brien’s cult classic musical, complete with a satisfying wardrobe of fishnets, heels, garters and rogue, may not be the most original of productions, but it’s a fun, sexy pick that’s full of sing-a-long energy and silly sexual innuendos. For mature audiences (duhhhh!).
