Charmin to debut skid marks ad at Charlotte Motor Speedway

You gotta hand it to NASCAR lovers: They can tolerate quite a bit.

In which other sport are fans so dedicated they're willing to risk their lives - and the vitality of their skin - to sit under the sun for hours all to watch cars drive in circles.

All things considered, it should come as no surprise that a toilet paper company selected the Charlotte Motor Speedway to debut a new, slightly off-color advertisement.

According to sportsbusinessdaily.com, this month's Sprint All-Star Race and Coca-Cola 600 will feature billboard-size banners of the backside of white men's briefs with skid marks - tire skid marks, that is.

Charmin has signed a deal with Charlotte Motor Speedway to sponsor the two NASCAR events, and as part of the deal the Procter & Gamble toilet paper brand plans to hang banners outside the speedway and signs along pit road that tout Charmin Ultra Strong. The billboard-sized exterior banners will feature the backside of white, men's briefs with tire skid marks down them.

Let's hope the ads catch on. Anything's better than those damn giggling bears.
