Posted By on Tue, Aug 13, 2013 at 2:57 PM

The Black Political Caucus of Charlotte will host a discussion with City Council district candidates at 6 p.m. tonight at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.

"[The candidates] are sort of going to compete each other, I would say, as far as talking about why we should vote for them," said caucus recording secretary Dee Jones, adding the candidates will discuss issues facing Charlotte.

The church is located at 1600 Norris Ave. A Q&A session with the public will follow.

At 6 p.m. on Thursday the caucus will host a discussion with City Council at-large candidates at Ramses Temple, 4919 Beatties Ford Rd. Mayoral candidates will speak at 7:30 p.m.
