If the 2012 DNC left you wanting more Uptown upheaval, you may want to cross your fingers: Charlotte has been invited to bid on hosting the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Local musician and proponent of the scene Chris Peigler died yesterday.

The former McCrory campaign worker turned Department of Health and Human Services communications director announced yesterday that he's taking a top-tier position with a Washington Republican political consulting firm. "Diaz, 24, said his departure is not related to the repeated controversies plaguing the McCrory administration's state health agency."
