First Drip (1/28/14): City Council approves street-car extension money, RIP Pete Seeger, Congress compromises, more

Posted By on Tue, Jan 28, 2014 at 10:17 AM

In a move that might appease feds - in other words, get us some grant money - Charlotte City Council voted 8-3 last night to spend up to $12 million on a street-car extension.

Folks singer and activist Pete Seeger has died.

Can the president get his mojo back during tonight's State of the Union?

Congress has compromised (yes, you read that correctly) on a farm bill that would cut food stamps by 1 percent.

Republicans propose their own immigration reform.

God save the queen - and her "crumbling palaces."
