First Drip (1/7/14): Water-quality tests of Dan show mixed results, 'f*ck the EU,' more

Water-quality teams continue to test the Dan River for contamination following a coal-ash spill from a Duke Energy-owned pipe. Results have shown elevated copper, but not much else to cause concern. Tests from other teams show much higher levels of arsenic.

A U.S. diplomat is blaming Russia for leaking an audio tape in which she said "f*ck the EU," among other not-for-public opinions.
