First Drip (8/11/14): Missionaries quarantined in Charlotte, NASCAR driver kills fellow racer, more

Missionaries who had been working with Ebola patients in Liberia but are not infected themselves will be quarantined in Charlotte. It is not known how many missionaries are heading here or whether they are from Charlotte. They are flying into a private location.

After NASCAR driver Tony Stewart hit and killed Kevin Ward Jr. in a race over the weekend, fans and the media alike are raising questions about the implications of the death on safety in racing and sponsorships. Meanwhile, the Ontario County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.

It's the stuff horror movies are made of. A stonemason from Sydney's western suburbs is asking Australians to forget the photo of his nephew holding the severed head of a Syrian soldier after politicians and the Muslim community proclaimed their disgust and shock after the photo mades its rounds on the Internet.

A Walt Disney World custodian is behind bars after he allegedly sexually assaulted a coworker. Gideon Paul Hunte faces charges of kidnapping and sexual battery.
