First Drip (3/10/15): Amtrak derail in Triangle, medical marijuana bill coming to Senate, more

North Carolina doctors are upset that they have to pay back a portion of payments they received for treating Medicaid patients because of a retroactive pay cut associated with a law passed in 2013. While it doesn't come as a surprise, Dr. James Al-Hussaini of Lake Norman OBGYN says, “That can be devastating in the short term as far as cash flow, and unfortunately, those tend to often be the practices in the most underserved areas."

No more smoking allowed at Time Warner Cable Arena.

An Amtrak train was derailed yesterday in the Triangle area, injuring 62 people, when a tractor-trailer crossed the tracks, and then backed up to attempt to make a left turn.

A Republican and two Democrats walk into Senate chambers and drop a medical marijuana bill on the table. No, that's not the setup of a tall tale: Sens. Rand Paul, Cory Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand plan to do that today.

Oh yeah, and something about an Apple watch, coming out in September.
