Devondia Roseborough is spreading her message of HIV/AIDS awareness this week as she signs copies of her autobiography, "Put It On Paper."
Well, it's happening at a pre-party, but still with all that's going on this week, it's nice to know you can pick up a book that might change your life.
Here are the details:

Today, downtown Charlotte seems eerily quiet and calm.
Just think, in a few days Uptown will be mobbed by thousands of folks out to have good time at the basketball tournament or any of the dozens and dozens of parties going down this week.
That said, we at CL will be covering the whole thing with zeal. Tomorrow, check your local CL street box or stand for our latest issue; in it, we offer a guide to best stuff going down during CIAA. Also, make sure you check the CLog frequently this week for regular coverage of the tournament and all related fun.
Lastly, we're co-sponsoring a few parties this week:
At any rate, get ready. An ass-load of fun is only a few days away.
I want to be a Charlotte Roller Girl.
While watching their inaugural bout against the Columbia Quad Squad last night at Cricket Arena, I could barely contain my excitement. I want to skate stealthily around a tight track like I know what I’m doing. I want a great sarcastic nickname. I want to be aggressive and push my opponents down, all in the name of roller derby.
I want to don purple stockings with holes in them. I want to wear a super short skirt, exposing underwear that reads “It Ain’t Gonna Lick Itself” on my ass and be called sexy.
Wait. You want to hear about the bout, don’t you.
On Jan. 11, the finale for the Beards Because fundraiser was held at Amos'. For two months, men grew beards to raise money and awareness for the Battered Women's Shelter of Charlotte. Here are a couple of photos from the trimming. (photos by Jeff Hahne)
