American Idol - Top 10

Singers on America's most popular karaoke contest sang songs from the year of their birth last night.

Aside from making feel really old — one of them was born in the '90s — here are my thoughts about the show:

Ramen Noodle — Let's face it, her vocals are weak and it was bad karaoke. They should have kicked her out of the bar for that performance. Kind of screamy. I'd say she'll get the boot this week.

Knotty Dread — He belongs in a coffeehouse. He's not bad, but not memorable. Again — contact high. I think I have the munchies...

Syesha Mercado — Her vocals are at least strong enough to keep her in the competition long enough for me to come up with a nickname for her.

Side note: What the hell is up with Paula's gloves?

Jacuzzi — A nice song to take a nap to. Give him credit for trying to change it up each week, but the song sucked.

White Bread — Brooke White's never seen an r-rated movie before, so I feel like I should call her "Apple Pie." However, given her last name, I'll just call her "White Bread." She stumbled at the start, but recovered well enough. It was best when it was just her and the piano. The band kicking in took away from her vocals.

Aussie Invasion — His best performance. Where does that accent go??

Ego Trip — Is it a requirement that someone sing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" each season? I think I'm actually getting a little scared of her. She thinks she's much better than she actually is. "I had a record deal, so I should win." Whatever... You scare me. And, hey, where does her accent go when she sings?

Boy Wonder — What song is this?!?!

Kristy Lee Cook — Odd choice of song with "Proud to be an American"... Happy Fourth of July everyone!

The Mayor of Creepy Town — Sir Creeps A Lot did Chris Cornell's version of "Billie Jean." How many people knew that? I'd guess not many. So, his brave risk is actually just another cover.

Ready for the boot: While I think Creepy Town or Ego Trip should be the one to go, I fully expect to see Ramen Noodle and Jacuzzi in the bottom tonight.
