Aussie heavy metal/hard rock mongers AC/DC will skid through Charlotte tonight for a sold-out performance (thats right, if you dont have your tickets by now, it looks like you'll have to buy from a scalper) at Time Warner Cable Arena. AC/DC is currently on its Black Ice World Tour, titled after the bands most recent, 16th studio album Black Ice. The guys in the group are getting older, but they dont show signs of retirement. With a span of time going by between this tour and its last (Stiff Upper Lip Tour) in 2000, the band has popped up to prove it's never too old to rock 'n' roll. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
But it won't be tonight. R&B artist Jazmine Sullivan has postponed her show tonight at Amos' Southend to Jan. 8. More details to come, I'm sure.
Well, Bonnaroo tickets are on sale, so let the rumor mill get revved up!
Last year, there were rumors of Led Zepplin flying about. This year, the rumor at RollingStone.com is that a newly-reunited Phish will headline TWO nights of the festival, while Bruce Springsteen is rumored to close out Sunday night.
As someone who went the last two years, I can only hope that Sunday's closer is not Widespread Panic...again.
Stop by The Double Door Inn tonight to see eight great bands as part of the Crowntown Showdown, plus an after-party with Zach Deputy.
It's only $3 at the door and you'll get a copy of the latest Homebrew CD if you stick around!
