Idol thoughts

I don't remember if I said it last season, so I'll share it this season...

Ever wonder how they get all those people to sing the same song during the American Idol auditions? It's not because so many people just happened to pick the same song.

As thousands of contestants wait for endless hours until they are called to sing, the same song is played over and over on the sound system in the waiting rooms. That's right....over and over and over, drilling it into the contestants heads.

So, they get in the audition room, and the judges say - "You know that song you kept hearing? Why don't you try singing it?" And then you get video of plenty of people scrambling the same song that some people have only been hearing for the first time that day.

MSNBC has a story detailing some of the other details of the show.
