American Idol finale performers announced

Posted By on Mon, May 18, 2009 at 3:03 PM

So, who's going to perform during the finale of "American Idol" this week? You already know Adam Lambert and Kris Allen will be there, but you know Fox has to drag this thing out as long as possible.

Those slated to perform on Wednesday are David Cook (who has already performed once this season), Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana, Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifah, The Black Eyed Peas and Keith Urban. Carrie Underwood is booked (for her second time) on Tuesday night's show.

Posted By on Mon, May 18, 2009 at 10:36 AM

One venue that was suggested several times was the Cotton Club which has a long history in Shanghai and has a reputation for hosting top-notch musicians.

The early days of American Idol's Adam Lambert

Posted By on Fri, May 15, 2009 at 4:08 PM

If anyone thought Adam Lambert wasn't theatrical, you must need glasses and a new hearing aid.

Anyway, TMZ just posted a bunch of pics from Adam's early days on stage. Why didn't he wear this stuff on Idol? I'm guessing conservative America would have run the other direction.

I'll keep any comments to myself. It's good you can't hear the ear-piercing screams that go with them though.

I got mines, get yours...

One of the hardest things for a dj to do is to get into a club. Well, that’s the second hardest. THE hardest thing to do is to get into a club and get paid.

You’d think that with all of the “demo” cds you’ve made, all of the bar owners you’ve befriended and bar sluts you’ve slept with, setting up a residency or even a one-night gig would be a shoe-in, right? WRONG. It has little to do with skill and often times more to do with politics, and at the center of that political storm is... other djs.
