Over Mountain Men features Childers, Crawford

Posted By on Tue, Dec 1, 2009 at 11:11 AM

We got a press release about these guys a month ago, and have no excuse for not sharing the news until now. Either way, we thought we should let you know about a new group made up of The Avett Brothers' Bob Crawford on bass, singer/guitarist David Childers, guitarist Randy Saxon and drummer Robert Childers called Over Mountain Men.

The group is going to release its debut CD, Glorious Day, on Ramseur Records early next year.

The songs were recorded primarily at Old House Studios in Gastonia. Additional songs were recorded at The Grange, Greenville, N.C., and the Milestone Club. Some of the guest players on the album are Andy the Doorbum, Eric Mullis, Joe Kwon and a handful of others.
