Laura Izibor must really love Charlotte. In 2009, the Irish-born soul singer hit town at least twice to perform songs from her debut album Let the Truth Be Told. Well, on Friday she’s back once again — this time to sing for folks attending the Urban League of Central Carolinas Young Professionals 2010 Leadership Awards. So even if you have seen her on stage before, checking out her gospel-tinged and piano-fueled tunes — especially for an event that actually benefits the community — can only be a good move. $35 for individual tickets; $60 for couples. 8 p.m. The Big Chill, 911 E. Morehead St. 704-373-2256 ext. 203.
