Each Friday, we review 10 recently released CDs in 10 words each:

Smile Empty Soul More Anxiety — Deluxe edition contains acoustic, demo songs as well as DVD.

Anais Mitchell Hadestown — Album’s guests includes Ani DiFranco, Bon Iver on multiple tracks.

Johnny A. One November Night — CD/DVD combo features guitarist shredding through 13 instrumental songs.

Reckless Kelly Somewhere in Time — Band continues to improve on its brand of country rock.

Various Artists Jazz Playground — Collection features artists from all over world for eclectic mix.

Two Man Gentleman Band Live in New York — Live disc captures band’s energy, charisma, talent in 13 songs.

Taddy Porter Taddy Porter — Some solid straight-up rock and roll from Oklahoma quartet. (At Amos’ Southend on March 25)

Professor Louie & The Crowmatix Whispering Pines — Funky music gives it promise, but vocals/lyrics aren’t good.

Various Artists Rhythm & Blues — Sharon Jones, Catherine Russell and others featured on varied collection.

ALO Man of the World — Band gets help from Jack Johnson for 11 creative songs.
