This guy will be the next "Susan Boyle" to win over the hearts of reality singing competition fans... He sings Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You."
Good voice, bad haircut.

When you think of a guy who works for a printing company, the last image youd get would be of Andy Horst, drummer for the band This Providence. Why you ask? Because most people who work at printing companies dont rock like this guy and his Seattle-based band.
When This Providence hits the Casbah at Tremont Music Hall this Friday night (April 9), theyll bring a sound reminiscent to that of the Cure, the Killers, a little Third Eye Blind and some Jimmy Eat World - which makes for one hell of a good rock n roll show. This is also the bands first time headlining a tour (appropriately named The Bout Damn Time Tour), and Andy Horst thinks this is their best effort yet. With headlining we get the chance to really put on a show for OUR fans. The people who have supported and come to see us. And with their new album Who Are You Now?, theyve earned the right to showcase their talents.
This album was really about figuring out who we were as a band and individually says Horst, describing the new effort, with band member changes, trying to understand the business, and just ourselves, we really were going through an identity crisis. This explains why the band took most of the last year away from the road, working to really master the Who Are You Now? album. This record, we really let it flow and be as natural as possible. Just write music and see how it turns out.
Fresh from being mastered, Eyes of the Elders, sent us their new track, "American Man."
Creative Loafing was given exclusive access to this track from the band that somehow seems to get bigger and bigger, yet better and better. They are one of the few acts out there that can, literally, cover all bases and this new song has something very badass about it. But don't let the patriotic title fool you, the lyrics question the warped American Dream more than pushing a Marlboro Man image.

Sure, it sounded like a hip-hop version of Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" at first but it doesn't take long to realize this one wasn't no cowboy shit. Longtime EOE listeners will notice the rhymes have slowed down and, on this track especially, feel more deliberate.
Local Charlotte band Wavy Space was on the Jerry Springer Show yesterday to perform their song about the television show and late-night TV.
You can see the video on Facebook and on the Jerry Springer Web site.
Lady Gaga tickets for her Sept. 18 performance at Time Warner Cable Arena go on sale on Friday, April 9, at 10 a.m.
If the prices for her tickets in Detroit are any indication, it's not going to be a cheap date.
Tickets for her concert there are $178, $88 and $52.50 reserved, and $88 for general admission floor. I'm guessing they'll be the same here in Charlotte. After all, someone has to pay for all those crazy costumes.
As someone who has riden around Charlotte bumping homemade J Dilla beat CDs, you can only imagine my delight to see the legendary Roots crew do a free mixtape covering their favorite joints from the late-hip hop icon.
It was dope to see that this 14-track instrumental compilation had some of my favorite Dilla joints on it. "Antiquity" with The Miquel Atwood-Ferguson Dillchestra is pure heat and "Make Em NV" is cool, but fans can also enjoy cuts from Donuts as well. Enough talking about it.
