New Jane's Addiction song

Posted By on Thu, May 6, 2010 at 11:05 AM

Jane's Addiction, if you hadn't already heard, has a new lineup these days. Original bassist Eric Avery, who reunited with the group — Perry Farrell, Stephen Perkins and Dave Navarro — for a tour last year, has departed once again and has been replaced by former Guns N Roses/Velvet Revolver bass player Duff McKagan.

The band played a Cinco de Mayo gig last night and debuted one of their new songs, "Soulmate." It has a similar drum beat to "Superhero" and, while it doesn't exactly measure up to the Jane's of old, I'll give it more time before offering a full opinion.

The group has been spending a lot of time in the studio, so fans hope a new album will be out soon.
