THE NOVA ECHO Asheville combo alternates between fluffy electro pop and spacey dance rock blasted with guitar bursts. Lyrical depth may not be a strong suit, but they manage tonal warmth in the mix, where some cuts prevail with keyboard-laden crescendos assisted by guitars and percussion. Fans of '80s synth pop, take note. With Oh No Fiasco. $5. Double Door Inn. www.doubledoorinn.com. (Samir Shukla)
