The Charlotte Community Safety Committee has a meeting scheduled for May 5, where it will talk further about the proposed noise ordinance changes.
The proposal no longer bans outdoor amplified music, but aims to find a balance via decibels and targeting repeat offenders instead of blanketing the city.
You can find an agenda for the meeting, as well as more about the new noise ordinance changes (in the April agenda) here.
No decisions are expected at the May meeting.
