Mary Chapin Carpenter brings timeless, twangy pop tonight (8/12/11)

Posted By on Fri, Aug 12, 2011 at 7:00 AM

Mary Chapin Carpenter She’s deftly floated between twangy, hoe-down country and perky pop for nearly a quarter century. Carpenter has added another solid album to her collection titled The Age of Miracles, which, again, seamlessly blends pop, folk and country into a sound that’s not beholden to any specific era. Timeless? Generally. Downright well written? Absolutely. $39.50-$49.50. Knight Theater. www.blumenthalarts.org.
